What happens during my hypnotherapy treatment?
Beginning with that very first call or contact, your hypnotherapist will explain to you how the sessions are planned and how many you are advised to book. The first session will give you some fascinating insights into brain science and mind evolution, and you may then begin to understand how your tailored hypnotherapy will help you towards your desired outcome.
Subsequent sessions will focus on helping you to remain positive, on recognising those small wins which demonstrate progress, and continuing with your tailored hypnosis.
What exactly is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy, often used with psychotherapy (talking therapy), uses advanced relaxation methods to enable the client’s subconscious to be open to suggestion. The hypnotherapist then talks to the subconscious mind, often using metaphors, to encourage the desired change. Hypnotherapy is a supremely relaxing and often pleasant experience.
How many sessions will I need?
This is something you can discuss with your hypnotherapist at the initial consultation, and revisit after any number of sessions. At Solar, I really believe that noticeable change occurs after at least 5 sessions, although some clients will required more.
Cost is often a factor when deciding how many sessions to book. Solar offers competitive prices with progressive reductions if you do need multiple sessions. (link to prices)
How does online hypnotherapy work?
Solar has focused exclusively on online hypnotherapy since lockdown in March 2020, with no discernible difference in outcomes.
One of the main advantages of online therapy is that the client can be in a place of their own choosing, and is free of travel/parking limitations and worries about being late or arriving in a rush. After the session ends, the client is also free to emerge from the trance work at their own pace, enabling prolonged benefits, without having to rush out into the elements to get home/to work.
Solar uses Zoom, WhatsApp video or Facetime to facilitate these sessions. We switch our phones to ‘do not disturb’, and test the video/audio quality at the beginning of each session. It is normally absolutely fine and we can proceed. If there are any issues, we can delay or rebook the session at no extra charge to the client.
